This interesting extract produces a range of shades from pinks using an alum mordant, through oranges when modified with citric acid.

The photograph shows 100% wool hand dyed with Sorghoum as follows (from top)
- mordanted with Alum
- modified with iron sulphate
- modified with citric acid (acid)
- modified with sodium carbonate (alkali)
