Myrobalan

A useful extract, particularly as it can be used without the need for a mordant.

This extract produces attractive butter-yellows modified with alum and olive when modified with ferrous sulphate.

The photograph shows 100% wool hand dyed with Myrobalan as follows (from top)
- mordanted with Alum
- modified with iron sulphate
- modified with citric acid (acid)
- modified with sodium carbonate (alkali)
