Fixers for Procion dyes

We stock fixers for use with Procion dyes suitable for both animal fibres (hot method) and plant fibres (cold method).

Sodium carbonate (Soda Ash)

For fixing plant fibres (cold water dyeing method)

Use 25g of sodium carbonate for each 100g of yarn or fabric.

Citric acid

For fixing animal fibres (hot water dyeing method)

Citric acid is an ideal replacement for white (distilled) vinegar and much more practical to post! Use 25g of citric acid crystals for each 100g of yarn or fabric.
