Jan Smith was on the indigo dyeing workshop at the Association of Guilds Summer School and has been busy putting her newly learned skills to good use! She dyed clean fleece, some in her indigo vat (top left) and some with a mix of logwood purple and logwood grey (top right), in a ratio of 4 : 1 using Earthues dyes. The bottom is some logwood dyed fleece combed ready for a semi-worsted spin. Jan was pleased with the colours she got and said now just needs to dye enough for a sweater!
