Out and about in June and July

June and July were busy months for us. In June we took our biggest stall yet at Woolfest in Cumbria. For textile and fibre enthusiasts, knitters, crocheters, spinners, felters, dyers et al, it is without doubt the best show of the year and our personal favourite.

Set in the animal auction mart near the lovely town of Cockermouth it's quite an "earthy" venue, but its proximity to the beautiful sights of the Lake District make it well worth the trip and we can highly recommend making a weekend of it. Thanks go to the organisers for another excellent event!

In July we took our wares to the Knitting and Crochet Guild AGM and conference in Chester. It was a really enjoyable weekend with interesting speakers and good company.

The Guild does a fantastic job of promoting knitting and crochet and provides a great range of services for its members. If you would like to join or would be happy to help spread the word, they would be delighted to hear from you!

There are lots of ways to get involved, from simply being a member to helping out at shows or even just letting the committee know when you hear about a good textile event which they could publicise. If the crafts we all love are to grow and develop, it's really important that everyone does their bit (big or small), to introduce people to the joys of working with fibres!
