All about... alternative cast-ons Part Two |
||
The concluding part of Debbie's article on Alternative cast-on techniques is published in the March 2007 issue of Simply Knitting magazine which is in the shops now. The cast-on may be the smallest part of the entire knitting process but it's also one of the most important. Many knitters tend to stick to just one tried-and-tested method, the favourites being either the cable of thumb methods. But there are other methods out there that may suit us better. In the first part of the article last month Debbie looked at knit and alternate cable cast-ons. Part Two takes you through backwards loop, tubular and provisional cast-ons and the best places to use them. With step by step instructions and clear photographs you'll soon be mastering the new techniques! Simply Knitting magazine is published by Future Publishing and is available at all good newsagents.
