If you were in the Manchester area on the morning of Tuesday 4th September and had your radio tuned to BBC Radio Manchester then you will have heard Debbie on the Heather Stott show discussing the recent growth in interest in knitting.

Debbie was contacted by researchers from the programme and was keen to go live on air and dispell a few myths about knitting as well as to answer the presenter's questions about whether it was possible to spin the combings from her pet husky dog to knit a pair of gloves!

Debbie and Heather had a lively discussion covering topics such as Hollywood celebrity knitters, do men knit? and explaining the term "frogging"! We would like to thank Heather Stott and everyone at the BBC for their invitation to go on the show and the warm welcome they gave to Debbie and her mum at BBC Manchester on Tuesday morning.
