Way back in 2005 Woolfest was our first ever show as DT Craft & Design and we've been back every year so we were delighted to be in Cockermouth to help celebrate the festival's fifth birthday.

This year the traditional Woolfest rain stayed away and we all basked (or was that baked?) in two glorious days of sunshine. The crowds of visitors seemed bigger and more enthusiastic than ever and it was wonderful to have the chance to meet so many of our regular customers in person at last.

We had taken along some special offers and launched some new products while many of our newsletter subscribers took advantage of their exclusive 5% vouchers. [On this note if you are the lady who my husband told on the Friday that you were the first person to show us a voucher please could you get in touch as soon as possible? Thanks, Debbie].

The new products included two Kool Aid Dye-It-Yourself projects, an Indigo & Woad hand dyeing kit and some fabulous new yarns. All these products will be appearing on the website over the course of the week so watch our news pages for more details. If you can't wait then please click here to download our latest catalogue for a sneak preview!

We were having such a good time that the two days of the show flew by in a flash and we were amazed and delighted when we got home on Saturday evening to find that Woolfest 2009 had been our most successful show ever. We would like to say a massive and heartfelt thank you to all our customers, old and new, for your support and we hope we can continue to be your hand dyeing heaven for many years to come.

We would also like to say a very big thank you to Cecilia and everyone at the Wool Clip for for their tireless work to put the show together and make it such a success for visitors and traders alike.

If you didn't get to Woolfest this year or have never been then make sure you make a date for Woolfest 2010 - we can't wait! :-)
