This attractive unisex jumper is very quick to make. There is very little shaping, yet the style doesn't look "blocky". The slubby wool yarn gives warmth without excess weight and its springy texture will withstand being scrumpled up in a rucksack or stuffed in a holdall yet still look presentable. This would make a good transition from blanket squares and scarves to a first garment, particularly as it is worked entirely in garter (knit) stitch.
