This sumptous throw is perfect for curling up under as you watch the snow fall outside. In the summer it is ideal for taking off the early evening chill as the sun sets. You can knit your throw in quick and easy patchwork squares or as a single piece. The pattern may look intricate, but is actually a simple four-row repeat which can be mastered in no time. The patchwork version is particularly suited to beginners moving from their first scarf to a patterned piece as each square is quick to make. The openwork lattice pattern is very useful for throws as, unlike many other openwork and lacy stitches, this pattern looks equally pretty on both sides. The trellis effect created by all the small squares makes the throw light yet very warm. The throw looks perfect with no edging, or customise to suit your personal taste with one of the three alternative edgings included in fhe pattern. In the photographed example, black, royal blue and brilliant emerald are the three base dyes. These are mixed into three subtle shades which are then applied to the yarn to produce the lovely shades of teal and aquamarine. Of course, if these aren't your favourite colours, simply choose your own from our lovely selection. All the techniques you need are fully explained in the easy-to-follow instructions that come with the kit.
