This sumptuous cushion is knitted in deliciously warm and cosy super chunky pure wool. Debbie's design uses the fascinating entrelac technique which is bursting with texture and is irresistibly touchable. The reverse is worked in simple stocking stitch in two pieces. Sections of ribbing allow quick and easy insertion and removal of a cushion pad - no need for tricky zips or fasteners! The entrelac design is very versatile and many colour combinations are possible. Two shades of the same colour will give a lovely subtle wave effect. Alternatively, choose two contrasting shades for a more dramatic look. The strong shapes also lend themselves well to rainbow-dyed shades. For real wow factor, try one rainbow-dyed shade with a single shade. Debbie says "I chose this yarn as it is quick to knit up, and is durable without compromising on softness and comfort. I love entrelac as it's interesting to do but far more simple than it appears. The texture is amazing and seems to be woven by magic. So, when you are basking in the admiration and envy of all your friends, I'll leave it up to you whether you let them in on the secret!" In the photographed example, black and brilliant pink are the base dyes used. By using a very dilute solution of dye in a large dyebath two subtle shades are produced, dove grey and soft pink. Of course, if these aren't your favourite colours, simply choose your own from our lovely selection.
