These two snow-white fibres give wonderful results when dyed as the silk takes colour intensely, its natural reflective qualities making colours vibrant. The merino takes a deep colour too, but its soft halo is subtler and a lovely complement to the silk. This is a lovely fibre when incorporated as an accent to a larger project or spun finely for a laceweight yarn and it would also make an interesting textured felt.
