About this workshop
On this exciting workshop I’ll be introducing you to natural dyeing yarn using a range of simple but exciting techniques.
In this fun-packed, friendly session, Debbie will introduce you to the magic that is natural dyeing! Try your hand at solid colours, handpainting, faux striping and semi solid dyeing.
The aim of the session is to enjoy a taster of a range of techniques rather than an in-depth session on a specific topic and it’s all very straightforward and easy-going. At the end of the day you’ll have two lovely skeins of yarn and a selection of Debbie's exclusive knitting/crochet patterns to make something magical with your yarns as soon as you get home!
All materials including dyes, 150g high quality yarn and patterns are included as part of the workshop. Refreshments are also included.
A special 10% discount voucher is also included. This can be used for purchases on the day or for your next online order.
This workshop is £50 including all materials.
This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners and is also great for dyers in need of a refresher or just to have a little 'me time' to play with new ideas!
This is a course for over 18s. We may be able to accommodate accompanied younger participants but please ask before booking.
This workshop also makes a great choice for a baby shower, leaving gift, wedding celebration, birthday party. Private group bookings can be arranged on request.
This is an in person course and will be hosted at Debbie's studio at A4 studios and AIR Gallery in Altrincham, Cheshire.
About the classes
Debbie loves to teach and has been a dyer for over 30 years so you'll be able to pick her brains for tips, tricks and hacks!
Make & Take sessions are designed to be fun and enjoyable and you'll take home something special that's ready to use. The pace is relaxed and the small group size means there's time for individual attention, questions and chat.
Keen to learn to dye but can't attend in person?
We are planning to offer online classes live via zoom where you can enjoy the course from the comfort of your own home or studio. As the course will be live you'll be able to ask questions and Debbie will be demonstrating techniques on screen. Your patterns and handouts will be sent to you as downloadable pdfs to keep, view and print. If you are interested in zoom courses, please email and just put 'zoom classes' in the subject line and we'll let you know when we go live!
