Needlefelted Christmas decorations – 4 Dec 25 (evening)
In this fun workshop you’ll be making lovely needlefelted Christmas decorations in your choice of colours and designs.
Debbie will be demonstrating some simple felting and embellishing techniques and showing you how to create your decorations. Choose your gorgeous wool fibres and threads to make your own design. Embellish with stitch, beads and threads if you wish and take home your lovely felted ornaments at the end of the session.
Course level:
- This event is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who want to brush up their skills or just enjoy a couple of hours making lovely handcrafted decorations!
What you will learn:
- How to set up your space, what equipment and materials you will use and how to prepare your fibre for felting
- The essential principles of needlefelting – what types of felting methods there are, what fibres you can felt and how the fibres are used.
- How to create a 2D piece of felt, working with colours, layering and pattern.
- Adding embellishments.
- Finishing your ornaments with stitching and other techniques
