100% superwash merino chainette DK

About this yarn:

A superwash double knitting (DK) yarn with an interesting chainette construction and 250m per 100g skein, this fine yarn is beautifully soft and squooshy.

The chainette construction gives a rounded yarn, almost like a tube with a hollow core. This increases the weight of the yarn without increasing the weight of the finished fabric.

Chainette Yarns have a great stretch and elasticity which makes them a good choice where you need a hug without the weight of a regular bulky yarn.

Gives great stitch definition, particularly with bold cables and texture patterns.

This yarn will dye beautifully with any of our dyes. Choose from our procion mx fibre reactive dyes, acid dyes, natural dyes or Kool Aid.

Suggested projects:

This yarn is perfect for all kinds of garments, accessories and even homewares. One skein will make a pair of gloves, a hat or cowl. Light enough for sweaters and jackets, it has good body and washes well, too.

Care instructions:

We wash our yarns by hand in warm water with gentle, woolsafe pH neutral wash liquid. Rinse carefully in warm water then squeeze excess water out by hand. Do not wring. Roll in a clean, lint-free towel if required to remove excess moisture and leave to dry out of direct sunlight in a warm place. Do not dry over a radiator or with direct heat.
