Hand Dyeing Heaven since 2005!

Studio dyeing news!

My first dye samples from the new studio!

Getting ready to start dyeing

My first dyeing workshops start on Saturday so this week it was time to dress the studio in Altrincham, test the facilities and get ready to go!

We were busy setting up all the equipment and tables, filling it with all the exciting dyeing kit and generally giving it that DT Crafts colourful, fun vibe!

Naturally it was important to test that everything works (!) so I just did a couple of very quick samples. Three of our mini-skeins (high twist merino/nylon superwash 4ply) and our procion mx dyes. Blends of bright turquoise, bottle green and lemon yellow using three quick and simple techniques.

The workshop this Saturday has just one place left. If you can’t make that date or are looking for natural dyeing, indigo, knitting or crochet, you’ll find lots of other exciting workshops on the calendar.

In person or zoom?

We are very aware that not everyone is able/ready for in person workshops yet and we’ve had lots of requests for live online sessions so we’re also putting together a zoom schedule. Bookmark the workshops page, sign up to the newsletter on the home page, or visit the Facebook page to see when new courses are listed.

Hope you can join us on a workshop soon!

Spread the love with a share!

It's Holiday Time!

Last posting dates:

We’ll be posting those stocking fillers and last-minute gifts (we’ve all been there!) for orders placed before 12.30pm on 23rd December. However, last posting date is 21st December so it may be that orders may not arrive in time for the ‘big day’. If you need a last-minute gift or you’re not sure what to get we do have gift vouchers in the shop!

Christmas holiday

As it’s Christmas we are then taking a bit of a break and the shop will be closed until 4th Jan 2026.You may still place orders (simply close this window with the ‘X’ or escape to return to the shop) but we will not start dispatching orders until 4th January.

Thank you!

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for your support and custom this year. Your support for small businesses like ours is very much appreciated.

Last but definitely not least, we wish you all a peaceful and restful festive break and hope to be able to say thank you in person in 2026!

Love, Debbie & Pete xx
