Crochet for Beginners (3-week course)
Enjoy three weeks learning all the crochet essentials! Debbie will teach you all you need to know to get started with your first crochet projects.
You’ll make 3 small, fun projects, each one specifically designed to allow you to practice your skills as you learn.
Course level:
No crochet skills are required – Debbie will be starting right at the beginning. Have some experience or returning to crochet? This course is also a great refresher.
What you will learn:
- Making a slipknot
- Making a foundation chain (and what one is!)
- Slipstitch
- Double crochet
- Treble crochet
- Increasing
- Decreasing
- Making a simple square (granny square)
- Reading crochet charts and patterns
- Finishing and seaming
- Tension (gauge) and why it matters
- Tips and tricks for avoiding common mistakes (and how to fix them!)

All materials are included – we provide quality materials – lovely yarn, crochet hook, comprehensive professionally illustrated photo handouts and a selection of Debbie’s own, exclusive patterns. We also include tea, coffee and biccies!
About your tutor:
Debbie has over 12 years’ experience teaching crochet and has been a published crochet designer for over 25 years so you’ll be in good hands!
