Teal

This mixture of plant extracts gives fascinating teal-green shades, through turquoise. It can be modified with iron for forest greens. Try adding a touch of logwood for blues.

A handy alternative when you need a quick blue-green and don't have time for a vat-dye!

The photograph shows 100% wool hand dyed with Teal as follows (from top)
- mordanted with Alum
- modified with iron sulphate
- modified with citric acid (acid)
- modified with sodium carbonate (alkali)
