Hand Dyeing Heaven since 2005!

Counting down to Wonderwool Wales – this weekend!

DT Craft and Design stall at Spring Into Wool, the Grammar School at Leeds

Wonderwool Wales 23rd -24th April 2022

It’s going to be amazing to be back at Wonderwool Wales this year – our stall will be full of all your favourites as well as some new arrivals!

For those of you with good memories (unlike me!), we’ll be in the same place as in 2018 – Hall 1, stall G8. It’s near the organisers’ office, on the way out to the loos at the back! There’s also the very handy coffee stall close by so all bases covered!

What’s in store

We’ll be bringing all our usual goodies

  • Dyes,
  • Undyed yarns
  • Fixers, mordants & auxiliaries
  • Books
  • Equipment
  • & more!
What’s new?

We have some gorgeous new yarns (including some great natural fibre vegan yarns). We also have some fab new natural dyes as well as our extended range of procion and acid dyes.

And we’ll also be bringing our new food-colour based, ‘good to go’ dyes. With dye and fixer together, just add water and heat! (suitable for protein fibres like wool, alpaca, silk etc.).

Our new Good to Go dyes replace Kool Aid which we are sadly no longer selling. They are a blend of pure dye and citric acid so are great value for money. We’ve have two new kits for you.

Our Knit mitts kit which contains everything you need to make a fab pair of easy, knitted mitts and wristlets. It includes 100g yarn, pattern, Good to Go dyes and full instructions. Just add a pan and water!

Our second new kit is the Magical Rainbows kit. This one has 3 of our Good to Go dyes, dye applicators, funnel and full instructions.

Got a question or need some advice?

As well as all our goodies we’ll be there to answer your questions and dyeing dilemmas. We’re always happy to advise on the best product for your project and to talk through the options. With over 25 years’ hands-on dyeing experience we love a good question!

And if you’ve made something using our dyes, do bring it along – we love to see your finished projects!

Pre-orders

Need something special? We are a bit limited for space so if there’s something you are particularly looking for or are a bit short on time, please drop us a message and we’ll make sure we pack it and have it ready for you.

Trade customers are welcome to place pre-orders too – pay on the day or beforehand and we’ll have your order ready for collection. New trade customers are also welcome – find our more here about registering for an account.

COVID requests & the venue

The organisers are doing a great job keeping everyone as covid safe as possible. We’ll be wearing masks and will have sanitiser readily available on the stall. If you are able to wear a mask that would be great.

If you haven’t been to Wonderwool before and have any concerns about the venue in general, the showground is a very open, airy venue with plenty of open space between the stalls so it doesn’t feel at all cramped or congested.

There’s plenty of space for mobility scooters, wheelchairs and baby buggies as you move around the halls. Weather permitting there is lots of outside space for picnicing and having a rest or a brew.

On our stall we’ll be keeping things as open as possible for relaxing access and will be very happy to bring anything to you if you’d rather wait a little outside the stall so please just ask/wave/flag us down etc.!

We’ll be taking cards (including google/apple pay etc.) as well as cash. Cash is preferred for small transactions as the fees are high on card payments but if you are happier to tap that’s fine 🙂

Hope to see you there and wish you all a safe journey!

My top tip:

‘If you arrive at a busy time, my top tip is to start in Hall 3 or head to the back of Halls 1 and 2 then work your way back to the entrance’.

Best wishes,

Debbie
