Hand Dyeing Heaven since 2005!

AGWSD Summer School – the video!

Debbie Tomkies teaches hand-dyeing yarn and fabric at the Association of guilds of weavers, spinners and dyers summer school at askham bryan college 2019

This lovely video of the AGWSD (Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers) Summer School at Askham Bryan College popped up in my Facebook feed this week and I thought you might enjoy it.

As well as the work of some of my hand-dyeing students on my ‘Dyeing: A technique (or two!) a day’ course, it was great to see the other courses and I’m busy shortlisting which course I might apply for as a student in 2021 when Summer School next comes around.

There was so much we missed as tutors (despite my best efforts to sneak out and nosy at the other classes!) so thank you to the Guild videographer for a super job! And a beautiful soundtrack by Cecille Grey, too!

The Association website has a wealth of information as well as contact details for all the guilds so if you fancy learning to weave, spin or dye or would like to meet up with fellow textile enthusiasts, do check out your local guild.

Spread the love with a share!
