Sodium sulphate (Glauber’s salt)


Sodium sulphate is used to assist in producing even (‘level’) colours in synthetic dyeing. It slows down the uptake (‘strike rate’) of the dye to the fibre, allowing the dye to circulate and bond more slowly.
