Hand Dyeing Heaven since 2005!

Indigo dyeing workshop – behind the scenes (part two)!

Well, you can’t run a workshop without play, er, sorry, practising first   ; )

Here’s the preparation stage.

Folding the totes using folding, tie dye and shibori patterns using all manner of found objects and gadgets (medical clamps specially purchased – not your standard cutlery tray item, even in our house!).

I’ll be using natural indigo dye and a thiox and sodium carbonate vat to dye these in the next video…..

You can buy the materials to have a go either with our indigo natural dye kit or buy the individual dyes, sodium carbonate and thiourea dioxide separately. Check out the full range here.

Spread the love with a share!
